Mom turns "50"

We celebrated Cherrie's 50th Birthday going to dinner and having family over! It was a great family time.. and a wonderful celebration! Happy 50th Mom!

Our Beau

My sister and I have been going to the pound for a few months, taking treats and blankets to the dogs. Our last trip I saw a beautiful 80 pound male lab. As I made my rounds, I went to see him again.. and he was being taken out by one of the Pound Keepers. I asked if he was being adopted, and he said " no " .. but that he was " going to be put down." Without a thought in my mind I said " I'll take him!" The pound employee was thrilled and passed his leash to me right there. Thats when I thought " oh shit, how am I going to explain this one to Paul!! " Well, of course Paul was hesitant and not so thrilled by the idea... but you can't help but love this handsome boy... who I named "Beau".. which means " handsome!!" Exactly one week later, we lost Triston. I feel in my heart, Beau was sent to us for a special reason, and I am thankful for him everyday.

We say Goodbye to our Triston

I saw Triston in a pet store 2 weeks after Nicholas came home. It was love at first sight! I knew right away I could not leave without him. On our way home, I broke the news to Paul that we had another to add to our wonderful family. Of course he was sketchy at first, but as soon as he came home and met him.. he saw exactly what I loved so much.. he was special! Triston lived for 2 years.. and brought us so much love and happiness. His spirit will never be forgotten.

Baby Update February 11th

Ten Weeks and Three Days

Thirteen Weeks 2/11

Twelve Weeks 2/4

The first ultra sound picture was from 2/4 : You can really see the baby's profile here. The head is the big circle.. and if you look closely you can make out the nose and the mouth.
The second ultra sound picture was from today. The baby is compared to the size of a large shrimp, and the width of a small apple. It is just about 3 oz.!!!! I have gained 6 pounds in the last 3 months.. which I am happy with :) We were able to hear the heartbeat at both visits, which was absolutely breath taking. He/or She is one active little person. We were able to watch it roll around, and rub it's face, and grab its foot. It was amazing. The morning sickness has passed.. and I have been loving hot sauce on just about EVERYTHING. Our next doctor's appointment is the 11th of March, and the Doctor said we should be able to feel the baby between now and then. We hope everyone is enjoying their New Year as much as we are :)
