Medina Family

I hosted a "giveaway session " on facebook a couple of months ago. 

It was a .. 

'Post a personal picture and whichever photo has the most likes wins! ' 

It was a huge success, and I gained over 70 new 'likers!'

Meet the Medina family. 

Viviana works at our Pediatrician's office.. who we love!! 

I had a pretty tough time finding a Pediatrician that we "clicked" with, 

and who I felt supported my personal beliefs as a Mother. 

We went through quite a few. 

Until we found Dr. Chung!! 

Viviana was the only one who worked in her office at the time, and she is just as sweet as Dr. Chung.

Supportive and helpful, encouraging and is always smiling. 

The people working in our doctors office is just as important as the Doctor, I think!!

Anyway. 

Vivana won the giveaway.

We met a park in San Pedro.
A park that her and her husband took their photos when they married eachother not to long ago!

Seeing this beautiful Mama of two with her sweet little babies and her husband...

it was a beautiful day!

Listening to her sing sweet, spanish lullabies to her darling little baby
when she started to get tired towards the end of the session...

ah! It was heart melting!

Alyssa!! Senior Session

Meet Alyssa. 

I must admit, I was a bit nervous about this session. 

It was my first senior session, 

and all though I've had any "firsts" since diving into this business, 

and I know I still have many more ahead of me.. 

Knowing I would be photographing someone who would be " solo"

was, well, .... intimating. 

Shooting an engagement or family session, 

those people have eachother to feed off. 

They can joke, and laugh. 

Talk and give me the "candid" photo opportunities I just love!

I tend to be goofy and a little "out there" with most of my sessions. 

The best way to get people to relax is to be.... not uptight, right?! 

When I asked her if she was " nervous " 

and her quick, confident response was .. 

" NO " .. 

I wanted to so badly say ..

" well, I AM!! " 

For those who know me personally, know that I NEVER get nervous. 

I am learning to never say "Never!"

God was on my side with this one. 

She was a natural. 

She laughed, giggled, starred off into the ocean. 

We had fun with her wardrobe and talked about her entering her senior year. 

It was exactly what I hoped it would be.


Being a Mommy to a two year old girl, I couldn't help my envision my baby in this moment.

Preparing to start her senior year of highschool.

Charity and Sean are engaged!

Charity and her  twin sister babysat me and my sisters when we were little. 

I can still remember watching them put their lipstick on, 

and being introduced to MTV by these two sisters. 

Listening to them talk about boys and dancing to Salt- n- Peppa!!

The same music I would play in my bedroom days later, and my Mom telling me

 " Your too young to be listening that!! " 

They were the first girls I ' looked up to ' as a young girl. 

And here we are, so many years later,

 and Charity is just as pretty as I remember her being at 8 years old. 

And now, she is engaged to Sean. 

A man who has some pretty cool hair, and some pretty awesome taste in music!! 

Their style, their humor, and together with their babies.. 

It all made for a great engagement session!!! 

Can't wait to see these two as 'bride and groom!'

I have a feeling there will be lots of candids and a night full of love and laughter. <3
