Its been a while since I've blogged a personal post.
Holidays, birthday celebrations, vacations, and every day happenings have come and gone.
Unrecorded and set aside for a ' I'll get to that post later.. '
'Later' has also come and gone a few times over again,
and its left me months and months behind on documenting my little people's journey's.
We've hit a point where days seem as a big, giant blur because most seem no different from the next.
But, they are.
My camera has taken the back seat since attitudes, exploring under sinks, climbing on top of counter tops and getting into Mommy's makeup for the 23rd time for the day has taken passenger to this crazy cycle of day to day adventures!!! Its demanded more of my time and attention,
and I haven't willingly gone along for the ride.
My budding photography business has kept me busy.
Busy enough that something pretty big had to happen to set me back on track.
Sometimes we need something to wake us up.
Remind us that life is short and worth living every little moment that comes our way. Good and bad. Big and small.
Even if its pulling a strong-willed two year old out from under the sink for the 100th time!
Even that moment is worth living.
Enjoying it.
Taking it in.
The challenge?
Laughing at it. Smiling and knowing deep down, this too shall pass.. and you'll want it all back!
Before we know it, these babies will be counting down the days before they're out on their own.
Ready to take on this world, and I'll be looking back- wishing I read one more book, cuddled a little more tightly, and kissed a little longer.
Laughed at the moments I thought were exhausting, and appreciating the ones I often complained about.
So here I am.
Slowing down.
Taking the time that is well deserved for my favorite little people.
Writing down their stories.
Painting their journey's.
All so they know now, and forever...
They were loved...
And nothing else in this whole, big wide world -- will ever, ever, ever be more important then them.
" Tell me, what is it you plan to do with this one wild and precious life?" - mary oliver
Well Mary, we're gonna have fun. We're gonna smile more, complain less, hug tighter, kiss longer...
Lay in the sun, drink and be merry.
Love and forgive.
And...
We're going to laugh!
